Present day automobiles are becoming exciting, fun to own / hire / lease. It is also getting technologically complex by the day. For Indian roads to be safe automobile maintenance and repair skills can no longer be job of conventional road side ustaads but it requires ustaads (experts) who can keep themselves current on knowledge and maintenance / repair skills as technology keeps progressing. ASDC has the mandate to lead this transition and has strong support of most automobile OEMs to enhance skill base for the industry be it at authorized dealers or multi brand service outlets or specialized repair shops. Personally I am very happy to be able to play a small role in shaping safer roads for future!

The E-Learning course on the Basics of Electricity by ASDC offers a solid introduction to the fundamentals of electrical science. I completed this course on 26/01/2024 The course is well-structured, making complex concepts accessible even for beginners. The interactive modules and engaging multimedia content help to reinforce learning effectively. Each thing is broken down into manageable sections, allowing learners to progress at their own pace. The quizzes and examples are particularly useful for testing understanding and applying theoretical knowledge. However, the course could benefit from more real-world applications to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Overall, it's an excellent resource for anyone looking to gain a foundational understanding of electricity, and I would highly recommend it for its clarity and thoroughness
After completing my 10th grade from my hometown in Pune, I started in a Full Term Apprenticeship Course in 2016 at Tata Motors, Pune, in Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) Trade. Being well trained on various skilling techniques covering mechanical and electrical aspects, I was given an opportunity to work on various cars which helped me polish my skills. The experience at Tata Motors further boosted my confidence to give my best in India Skills Competition 2018 where I won a gold medal. I am looking forward to repeat the success story at Kazan.
Life’s a struggle when one has to earn their bread. My father works hard to earn a living by starting his day at 6 in the morning. I’ve always wanted to support him and other members of my family. I heard about Orion Edutech and the automotive course when I shared my problems with a school teacher of mine. The teachers groomed me perfectly as an automotive service technician. After completing the course at Orion Eductech for 3 months I got a job at EDP Service- Maruti Suzuki with a salary of 13,000/- p.m. It is not merely a job for me but, is the key to my family’s happiness.
I belong to a very small town in West Bengal. After completing my graduation, I had no job in hand. Frustration, stress and failure completely corned me. My relatives left no gap in comparing me with their young ones which made me feel worthless. A friend of mine told me about the training provided by Orion Edutech and their skill development course which guarantees placements. Working with gears, engines and clutch, transmission- chain system, brake system, electric system, we learned everything- both theoretically and practically. Today I am successfully working with Tech Mahindra, earning 10,258/- p.m. I owe Orion Edutech all my happiness today.
Belonging to an economically weaker strata of the society, my father could not afford to feed the family and send me school at the same time. During my 10th grade, father lost his job and I was to take care of my family. My friend recommended me about the IL&FS Institute of Skills in Delhi, its reputation in skill training and guaranteed placements. After being trained as a welder and upon completion of my training, I was placed at Hi-Tech Enviro Systems, manufacturers of industrial machines and plants, at Gurugram, at a salary of Rs. 15,500 per month. My training has immensely benefitted me.
Even after having a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, I was not able to land a decent job. For the ones that were available, I was either over-qualified or under-skilled. It was after when I visited IIS I was happy to be a part of the high-quality training provided by them to job-seekers like me. The institute is a state-of-art with labs simulated to the workplace to help trainees easily adapt to the work environment after placements. It was the training that empowered me and gave me the necessary confidence to face the world. I thank Petrofac and IL&FS Skills who helped me realize my dreams.
Very First, i would like to thank you for organizing joint ToT between ASDC & NPTC, UK on Electric vehicle which is very unique in its structure. As i know, success of any training program largely depends on Effective pedagogies used and designed asynchronous activities and that is what is the beauty of this ToT which is making sessions engaging, entertaining and educational. During the training / sessions, Mr. Daniel and Mr. Williams are throwing the ICQ's wherever required and they are more towards asking Probing questions which is helping to extract detailed information on the topic. Overall, its a knowledge gaining and awesome learning experience so far. Awaiting such a ToT's in the near future
I am from Bangalore, working with Concorde Motors (Dealership of Tata Motors) as a Technician. My biggest achievement so far is winning a silver medal at India Skills 2018. I have worked hard for this achievement and I strive to do much more in the near future. In my profession, learning is a continuous process and every day is a new learning at the workshop. India Skills provided me a great opportunity to showcase and execute my learning on cars and I hope to climb the ladder of success all the way to Kazan and be able to represent my county on an international platform.
